What is Pray First?

February 18 - April 2, 2021

At the beginning of Lent and in the spirit of Joel 1 and 2, we are calling a solemn assembly as we dedicate the next 40 days to fasting and seeking the Lord’s face. In the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic, we are responding to the call of Joel 1:14 “Announce a time of fasting; call the people together for a solemn meeting. Bring the leaders all the people of the land into the Temple of the Lord your God, and cry out to him there”.

Responding To The Call

As a church, we will be meeting from 12:00pm - 1:00pm Mon-Wed-Fri for prayer in our sanctuary, stretching from February 18 - April 2, 2021. These prayer times will be reflective in nature, but may include active group intercessory times and/or live worship as is appropriate and available.
"Don't tear your clothing in grief, but tear your hearts instead.
Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love”.
Joel 2:13
In response to this call, we are praying for three things during this time:

1. That the church would turn their eyes back to Jesus (Joel 1 - Joel 2:1-18)
2. For the ending of the COVID-19 pandemic (Joel 2:18-27)
3. That power, signs and wonders, and miracles would be restored to the church (Joel 2:28-32)
Would you consider joining us? While our prayer times will be by drop-in and do not require pre-registration (max 30 people in attendance), we would love to support you as you lean into fasting during this time. The form below has a few options for you to consider - fill it out and one of our staff can check in with you as to how to support you best during this lent season.
Over the course of Lent we will be updating the below section with testimonies, prophetic words, and insights as our people lean into prayer.
Check back here later, and may you hear from the Lord clearly yourself during this time!
