What is Pray First?

March 2 - April 17, 2022

At the beginning of Lent and in the spirit of Joel 1 and 2, we are calling a solemn assembly as we dedicate the next 40 days to fasting and seeking the Lord’s face. In the midst of the cultural and political unrest, we are responding to the call of Joel 1:14 “Announce a time of fasting; call the people together for a solemn meeting. Bring the leaders all the people of the land into the Temple of the Lord your God, and cry out to him there”.

The Call To Fasting & Prayer

In this video, hear from Pastor Nico Deschner as he highlights the opportunity of fasting and prayer the church has during these turbulent times. In response to this call, as a church we will be meeting for two additional prayer meetings on a weekly basis:
Wednesdays 6-7pm for Intercession
Fridays 12-1pm for Worship & Prayer
"Don't tear your clothing in grief, but tear your hearts instead.
Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love”.
Joel 2:13
In response to this call, each week we will pray through one of our Prayer Focuses for this year. For more information on our Prayer Focuses, click here
