Historical
Related to the sacramental and traditional practices of the Christian faith.
Evangelical
Related to the teachings of the Gospel revealed in the Holy Scriptures.
Charismatic
Related to the Holy Spirit, and His work and gifts for all believers.
We Believe...
God
God is one divine Being, eternally existing in three coequal Persons, referred to as the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Mt 3:16-17; 28:19, Eph 4:6)
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the eternal Word and Son of God, the second Person of the Holy Trinity. He took on human nature to be the Saviour and Redeemer of the world, the only Mediator between God and fallen humanity. (Jn 1:1-18; 10:30, 1 Tim 2:5-6, Heb 2:14-15)
Jesus died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now rules over all creation as Lord and King and will come back again as He promised.

Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person in The Trinity, coequal with God the Father and the Son, worthy of honour and worship. He unites Christians to Jesus indwelling them, convicting them of sin, giving them spiritual gifts, bearing spiritual fruits in their lives and revealing God’s Word to his people. (2 Cor 13:14, Jn 14:26; 16:7-11, Rom 8:2, 9, 14-17)
Humanity
Though made in the image of God and for intimate fellowship with our Creator, humanity has been cut off from him by our self-centered rebellion against him.

Salvation
I cannot save myself. God forgives my sins and reconciles me to himself through Jesus Christ. I receive this gift of grace by faith when I repent of my sin and accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour.

Bible
The Bible* is the inspired and written Word of God, given by the Holy Spirit through the prophets and apostles as the revelation of God and final authority in all matters of faith and practice. Scripture is the source of life and doctrine, the key to personal growth, and it points us to salvation in Jesus Christ. *The Bible refers to the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. (2 Tim 3:16, Mt 4:4, Lk 24:27, Rom 15:4, Jn 20:30-31)

Celebration Church accepts three Ecumenical Creeds to help us declare our faith and safeguard the essential truth about God, the Church, and the world as revealed in Scripture: the Apostle’s Creed; the Nicene Creed; and the Athanasian Creed.

The Church is the community of all devoted Believers in heaven and on earth, called and established by God as a Royal Priesthood and a Holy Nation. The Church on earth, under the headship of Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, gathers to worship God in Word and Sacrament, to love God and our neighbours, and to be witnesses of the Kingdom of God. (Heb 12:1, 1 Pet 2:4-9, Eph 2:19-22, Col 1:17-20, Mt 22:37-40, Mk 16:15)
Sacraments
God uses tangible, concrete means to communicate His grace and presence to us. This is the foundation of sacramental understanding. Celebration Church observes the sacraments of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper (Communion) as they have bee commanded by Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Celebration Church is committed to the unity of all those who know and love Christ and to building authentic, Christ-centered relationships with churches of other traditions and denominations that share a commitment to Jesus as their Lord and King.
