- Matthew 1:22

Mission Statement To establish a foundation of prayer under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, in order that we may become a people and a place of prayer.
Opportunities
* ALTAR MINISTRY: Praying with people immediately following the Sunday service. Contact Jacquie Sivertson at 543-5747.
* BY YOUR SIDE: There are prayer cards on the backs of the chairs in the sanctuary. These can be filled out asking for specific prayer requests. They are placed in the offering baskets and the office staff then forwards them to people who have agreed to pray for about a month for a specific request. This is an excellent opportunity for a small group or people who would like to try intentional prayer.
* INTERCESSORY PRAYER: This is prayer on behalf of the church and its various ministries and events. As well there is prayer for the wider church body, national and international concerns. Meet in the prayer room at 9:30 am Sundays. Contact Diane Spangenberg at 545-2012.
* PRAYER CHAIN: This is prayer for immediate and emergency needs. People are contacted by telephone and prayer is- done at home. Contact Jacquie Sivertson at 543-5747, Ann Robinson at 781-2486 or Val Symons at 352-8052.
* HEALING PRAYER: A very small team of 2-3 people will pray with those who request more in-depth prayer. This involves prayer for mental, physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Some training and/or experience are required. Prayer sessions can last 1-2 hours. Contact the church office.
* DELIVERANCE PRAYER: The mission of Celebration's Deliverance Ministry is to provide opportunity for every member of Celebration to walk in freedom from spiritual bondage and to actualize the principles of spiritual warfare in his/her life. This prayer time would be booked on an individual basis as needed. Contact Pastor Brian Smith at 789-2727.
* STAFF PRAYER TIME: Every Wednesday, the Celebration staff gets together to pray for specific individuals from our congregation, working alphabetically through the phone directory. They will let you know when they will be praying for your family, so that you can let them know your specific needs.
Spiritual Gifts And Other Requirements
When praying with individuals, confidentiality is of the utmost importance. As well, would like people who are regular in attendance for at least 6 months. In general intercession, we need people who love Jesus, who want intimacy with Him and who are willing to spend time being intentional and purposeful in prayer.
The following spiritual gifts are helpful. Please realize though that most people will grow in these areas as they spend time in prayer. Most of us learn as we pray for others.
These gifts include:
Words of wisdom, words of knowledge, prophecy, mercy, faith, discernment, healing, miracles, pastoring or shepherding.
The healing prayer ministry is more intensive and the spiritual gifts listed are of great value in this particular ministry.
