To teach children God’s word, help them understand and grasp the concepts of it, and to apply that in their day to day lives.

What The Teaching Is Based On
Our teaching focus is based on what Jesus modeled when he was young based on Luke 2:52. The basic truths that are based out of this that we teach each child is:
* I need to make the wise choice.
* I can trust God no matter what.
* I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

How A Sunday Morning Goes Down
* Children’s classes are offered at 9:15 in conjunction with adult classes. This is a different teaching style and approach to the 10:30 ministry time.
* For children ages 3-5, 10:30 will consist of games, worship songs, interactive teaching and learning time, that is fun and engaging to that specific age.
For children from Kindergarten to 5th grade, 10:30 children’s main session begins. We will usually begin with a large group interactive game that relates to the concept we will be learning about that morning. This allows the children to have fun getting some energy out and getting their minds plugged in for the morning. Next we move to a time of worship designed specifically for the children that is fun, engaging, relevant, and honouring to God. We then move to a large group teaching time that will include an interactive skit/game/play that includes kid volunteers to randomly join in the action and teaching. This is where the main concepts are given. Next we move to small groups where the kids apply what they have learned from the bible lesson in a way that is more personal with a teacher than in the large group to make sure all children grasp the concepts
Throughout the year, the children’s ministry has children and family events that are fun and a great opportunity to bring friends to that aren’t familiar with Celebration Lutheran Church.

Shepherds needed:
* Parents who use the nursery to help take a turn helping out in the nursery
* K-5th grade: Small group leaders to help run crafts, re-enforce concepts, pray with children, help with games. Little preparation time is required before Sunday, and it operates on a month-on/month-off basis. THIS IS OUR CURRENT GREATEST NEED.
* People who want to help lead worship Sunday mornings. Years of musical talent or none at all is welcomed. You must be excited about worship, have a passion for the Lord and praising Him, and display that to the kids.
* People who can run iTunes, PowerPoint, etc
* People who are interested in drama’s or skits
* Helping with 3-5 age children’s ministry
* Volunteers to help with family outreaches
