The Bible – The Old Testament
Here at Celebration we believe in the Bible. I have noticed that we love to read it during church. Have you noticed? We have encouraged people to bring their Bibles, we have been modeling reading our Bible and I have seen people reading their Bible. Our daily devotions are build around scripture. The Bible is real. The Bible is alive.
During our series in the Old Testament we caught a glimpse of how many amazing stories there are in the OT. The Old Testament is about relationships. The Old Testament is about God loving on his people. The Old Testament is a continual guide to seeing God’s redemptive plan for the Jew and the Gentile. For people then and for people now. God is alive in the Old Testament.
The Papa C (a.k.a. Pastor Cory) snap shot of the Old Testament
- In the beginning GOD
- The Fall
- The Relationship
- The Flood
- The Restoration
- The Covenant
- The Commandments
- The Kingdom
- The Sin
- The Return
- The Intermission
- The Messiah
All of the Old Testament points towards Christ coming as the Messiah. I am so grateful for the Old Testament. I have and will continue to learn about its truths, history, facts and reality.
Blessings. Peace. Prayer.
