Read Acts 21 this week. Please send me your thoughts, questions or inspirations to email@example.com
Last weekend was a real mixture of emotions for me. My friend Chantelle passed away Friday morning after her battle with cancer. I have spent a lot of time debating and discussing with God about why this 38 year old mother of 3 passed away (I actually used the term ‘argument’ on Sunday in regards to my discussion with God). I only knew Chantelle personally for 29 days. Those 29 days are imprinted on my heart forever.
On Friday afternoon until Saturday afternoon of last week the Board of Directors of CLC and the Pastoral Staff had a 24 hour retreat together out at Camp Lutherland (north side of Pasqua Lake). It was so wonderful to be with the Board, Cam and Matt. We discussed a lot of topics in regards to the direction of CLC. I really enjoy my discussions with the Board. They are a true blessing to me. On Friday night we sat around the fire by the lake and talked about the church and how much we all believe in the body here at CLC. I would encourage everyone at CLC to ask Joan Stricker about her car. We laughed and encouraged each other. It was really great to be surrounded by a group of friends that care and believe in me.
I continue to love the ‘Acts’ sermon series that we are in. I find the book of Acts to be so engaging and interesting. I hope that each of you are taking time to read through the book as we go chapter by chapter.
This coming Sunday is member’s Sunday. I look forward to seeing you at church on Sunday.
