Sorry for my neglect in blogging the past few days- yes, we are still in Uganda, thanks for sticking with me! We had a pretty relaxing weekend, which was a nice change of pace from the hectic, but amazing, week we had on safari last week. We did some shopping, played some games, and had a couple movie nights, which made for a good weekend spent together as a family.
In our time here, we have met some pretty awesome people, and I can’t even begin to compile a list of everyone who has impacted us in one way or another. From the ladies and, of course, the babies themselves at the baby home, to the men who work with dad at Central, the pastors at the church, members of mom and dad’s small group, the women at Living Hope, and the other Watoto volunteers- we have met so many incredible people from all over the world. Some of these people have even been deemed as “wonderful” when brought up in every single conversation they are mentioned in, but I suppose that is not my story to share… : ) We don’t want to think about our time here ending, but will definitely be missing our many new friends when we leave on Friday night.
This week we are spending time at the baby home, cuddling those babies as much as we are able to, and as much as they are willing to accept! Tomorrow, we are planning to tour a baby home that is run by another organization, so we are interested to see what that will be like. The remainder of this week will be one of soaking in all that we’ve experienced, and enjoying every last moment with our parents before we head back.
