*CHANGES TO LIGHTHOUSE LOCATION*
Starting in January 2019, Lighthouse will be moved downtown to now Oasis Church at 1265 Garnet St. While still a ministry of Celebration, we are responding to God’s direction to make Lighthouse increasingly accessible and effective in reaching the need of our city
Lighthouse is a service mission where we are called by God to care for His people as He would do.
A lighthouse is a tower on or near the shore of an ocean, harbour, or river. There is a lantern room on top that holds the lens. This is where the light shines out.
Religious meaning: A Lighthouse is anyone who is committed to pray for, care for and share Christ with others.
Every believer has what it takes to be a Lighthouse. Lighting our world is simply a matter of letting Christ shine through us. As it is the nature of a light bulb to give light, so it’s the nature of a Christian to shine
Lighthouse is an opportunity God has given us and we have the opportunity to act upon it.

WHAT HAPPENS ON LIGHTHOUSE SATURDAY?
The action starts at 9:00 a.m. on the third Saturday of the month.
We begin by moving the food into the kitchen from storage, filling hampers, and arranging the food on trays.
The volunteers start with a prayer asking God to direct our steps and open the hearts of those we will be serving.
Doors open at 10:00 a.m.
While our guests are eating they enjoy worship and praise time with songs as well as a gospel message.
There is time for the volunteers to visit with our guests. Some of them need someone to talk to so we are there to listen. We want Celebration to be a save and friendly environment for them.
After the service clothes are distributed and hampers picked up.
Then the clean-up begins and by noon everything is done.
Our clients appreciate what we do for them and thank us.
Serving others is a great feeling. We have a great group of volunteers who make the morning fun and amazing.
A monthly food drive is held the week before the serving Saturday. We ask for volunteers to sign-up to bring a loaf of sandwiches.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Make a loaf of sandwiches
Donate food such as small boxes of cereal and small jars of peanut butter. If everyone brings just 1 donation imagine the quantity we could give. Only small sizes because they fit better into our hampers.
Volunteer (if you wish to help occasionally that works well with us)
