This past Sunday I shared about God’s Story. We talked about the Christmas story, the creation story, the stories of the Bible, the revelation story – and how that is all contained within God’s story but it is only one small part of it. God’s story continues to this very day and will continue even beyond this. We are a part of God’s story, whether we want to be or not.
It blows me away when I really take the time to think about how the God who created EVERYTHING is the same God who came in flesh as a baby, who is the God who died on a cross for us, who is the one who is victorious over death and was raised from the dead up to heaven, who is the same God that is here with us today and who is coming back for the ultimate ending. Really – “who was and is and is to come”.
Doesn’t that amaze you? Doesn’t that excite you?
The good news of Christmas wasn’t just for the shepherds who heard it back then or only for the people of Bethlehem or only for the people in that time period. No, this good news of great joy is for ALL the people, all over the world, over every time period – including you and me!
This Christmas season (and forwards), I encourage you to find your story in God’s and God’s story in yours. As we celebrate the birth of this tiny baby, remember that he is the Creator, the Savior, the King.
JOY TO THE WORLD, THE LORD IS COME!!!
