Worship is one of those words that we as Christians throw around. Its so easy for us to forget that not everyone has an understanding of the word, or even for ourselves to forget the meaning of the word.
Worship is simply the act of adoring and praising God, that is, ascribing worth to God as the one who deserves homage and service.
In the Old Testament the word used for worship is often translated as “to bow down” or “to give homage” and in the New Testament it is “to show reverence” or “to serve”.
I shared a LOAD of different Scriptures this past Sunday and I want to make sure to list them here for each of you to read through, study and to worship through them as well.
Please also dialogue through these Scriptures, either through the comments below or by phone (306.789.2727) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
This coming Sunday we are having a “worship experience”. There will be opportunities for people to share Scripture that God has laid on their hearts, shouts of adoration, communion, offering, music and prayer. Please prayerfully consider if and what God is calling you to share.
