Hebrews Chapter 3
Cory Illingworth – Hebrews – Chapter 3
Dear Celebration Church.
Last week our 2015/2016 budget was unanimously passed. We first met for a BBQ supper that Mike Fahlman and Maureen Wiskar prepared for all of us. It was a great time of fellowship and discovering together where we are going as a church. We continue to desire to Reach Up – Reach In – Reach Out.
I would like to thank everyone for their assistance and support during Tertia’s battle with cancer and her funeral last Thursday. Tertia loved God. Loved her family. Loved her church. Thank you so much to Ann Robinson who continues to bless me as the Pastoral Team Leader at Celebration with her willingness not only to serve, but to do it to with her utmost for God’s glory. Tertia would have been glad with the efficiency. Barry, Jacques and Minette have expressed so many times to me their gratefulness to us as their church.
On Sunday Melony Materi from the Options Pregnancy Center here in Regina was our guest speaker. What love and forgiveness filled message that she shared with us. If you were unable to attend church on Sunday I would like to encourage you to click this Sunday’s sermon and take some time to listen. The response during her message and afterwards was so stirred by the Holy Spirit. Please add Melony, the Options Pregnancy Center and its team to your prayer list.
Feel free to check out this link and discover what OPC does and how you can support them with your prayers www.reginapregnancy.com
Last week the Shared Pastoral Team Leader Search Team submitted to the Board of Directors a candidate for their consideration. The Board of Directors will now review the recommendation from the search team and will prayerfully consider submitting that name to you as the membership of Celebration Church. Please be in prayer for the Board of Directors and the process of selecting our Shared Pastoral Team Leader. I would like to extend a sincere and a significant thank you to the Shared Pastoral Team Leader Search Team. They committed a lot of time, prayer, research and effort into this process. The search team consisted of Barry Krett, Corinne Miller, Cory Illingworth, George Maxim and Patti Kelm.
I would like to encourage everyone to read through the book of Hebrews this summer. If you are away during the summer and miss a Sunday service you can go to our website and listen to the messages there.
Blessings. Peace. Prayer.
