ACTSion. I know that is not a word, but that is the best way to describe what has been occurring in our Acts series over the last few weeks. Last Sunday we hit the midway point of our church Sunday morning series on the book of Acts. I have personally found the series uplifting, inspiring and renewing. Each week I have gained new insights into the early church.
The Acts series has shown me how active the Holy Spirit wants to be and can be in our lives today as believers. At the beginning of the Acts series we saw and read how the Holy Spirit gave life, freedom and inspiration to the followers of Jesus. We saw the Holy Spirit come in power and transformation. As we have journeyed through the book of Acts we have also seen how the Holy Spirit has guided the early believers into following God’s plans. The Holy Spirit is alive. The Holy Spirit truly is our helper, comforter and guide.
I want to encourage you to read along with us each week in the book of Acts. If you have not been reading yet, then start at Acts 15 this week. Don’t let the devil tell you that you are behind in the reading. Start today and come along as we move into the second part of Acts. This Sunday we are in Acts 15. Acts 15 is about you and I. Acts 15 is about the church. Acts 15 is about Celebration Lutheran Church.
Blessings. Peace. Prayer.
